Our own tool manufacturing and wire EDM make it possible to maintain tight tolerances and repeatable quality over longer series. Material properties and function
Acrylic plastic has high light transmission and maintains its transparency even after long-term exposure to UV light. It is electrically insulating, has a low density and can be processed with high accuracy. The thermoplastic nature of the material makes it possible to shape it under controlled heating without negatively affecting clarity or surface. We work with both extruded and cast grades depending on the requirements for surface finish, tolerances and processing method.

Limitations and handling
Acrylic plastic has low impact strength compared to, for example, polycarbonate and should not be used in environments with heavy mechanical impact. The material is affected by certain solvents and requires proper cooling during processing to avoid stress cracks. During design, load, temperature and chemical exposure should be considered to maintain function and service life.
Recommendations for processing:
- Avoid point loads and impact at low temperatures.
- Use custom cutting data and cooling when CNC milling.
